World Meeting of Families 2015

Pope Francis once said, “The family which experiences the joy of faith communicates it naturally. That family is the salt of the earth and the light of the world; it is the leaven of society.”

The World Meeting of Families is coming up rather quickly. After the summer months, families from all over the world will convene in Philadelphia, the City of Brotherly Love, to share faith, friendship and familial love with each other. After a week of learning and devotion, Pope Francis is closing off the event! The event begins September 21 and ends September 27, 2015.

It’s essential that families can effectively live faithful lives. While we here at St Jude Shop believe your personal relationship with God can be nurtured through religious goods, there is nothing quite as powerful as the connection of one to your family, especially through the sanctity of the Church, Pope and ultimately Christ. Pope Francis carries on the love for families that initiated the World Meeting of Families Event in 1994. Saint Pope John Paul II believed in the strength and sanctity of the family bond and started the World Meeting of Families during The Year of The Family.

The World Meeting of Families brings together families across the globe to share experiences on the goods and bads of family life, how families can work as good Christian units in our world and communities and simply share in the Christian beliefs we all love.

To get involved with the more than 1,000,000 people attending our city in the fall, you can sign up to be one of the 10,000 needed volunteers. We look forward to growing in our faith, love and family with this wonderful event in the backyard of St. Jude Shop.
