Steps to Planning a Baptism From Our Catholic Supply Store
4th Aug 2014
Is it time for your first-born baby to be baptized? Do you find yourself unsure of how to begin? If "yes" is your answer to these questions, then St. Jude Shop is the place for you. At our Catholic supply store we are dedicated to not only providing you with everything that you need to prepare for the big day, but we also want to give you the knowledge that you need to get ready. That is why our team has come up with this list of steps to planning a baptism:
- Find the right church- If you already belong to a church, this step should be incredibly easy. If you don't belong to a church, then you will need to do some research. Reach out to a few churches in your area to find one that will work for you. You will need to find out about any classes you need to take beforehand and any other requirements that might be in place.
- Pick a date- Picking a date can be difficult, especially if you have many friends and family that you would like to attend. Because you aren't likely to find a date that will work for everyone, check with those that are closest to you, and give the others plenty of time to free their schedules. You will also want to make sure that you give yourself enough time to complete the requirements that your church may have and plan the reception.
These are just a couple of the steps that you will need to complete for your child's baptism. To learn about the final steps, stay tuned for our next blog.
