St. Rita of Cascia

Saint Rita of Cascia, also known as the "Saint of the Impossible," was an Italian widow and Augustinian nun venerated for her piety and miraculous intercession. She is particularly revered for her devotion to prayer, penance, and charity. Despite facing many hardships in her life, including the murder of her husband and the death of her children, Rita remained steadfast in her faith. She is often depicted with a wound on her forehead, believed to be a mystical thorn from the crown of thorns worn by Christ. Saint Rita is a popular saint among those facing difficult or impossible situations.
