St. Stephen

Saint Stephen was one of the first deacons of the early Christian Church. He is best known for being the first Christian martyr, stoned to death for his faith in Jesus Christ. Stephen's story is recorded in the Acts of the Apostles, where he is described as a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, who performed miracles and preached boldly. His martyrdom marked the beginning of widespread persecution against Christians in Jerusalem. Saint Stephen is revered as a model of steadfast faith and courage in the face of adversity.
