St. John Neumann

Saint John Neumann was a Redemptorist priest and the fourth Bishop of Philadelphia. He is known for his work in expanding the Catholic school system in the United States and for his efforts to provide spiritual care to immigrants. Neumann was a zealous preacher and a prolific writer, contributing significantly to the development of the Catholic Church in America. He is remembered for his humility, simplicity, and dedication to serving others. Saint John Neumann was canonized as a saint by Pope Paul VI in 1977.

Feast Day is on January 5.
