St. Thomas More

Saint Thomas More was an English lawyer, social philosopher, author, and statesman. He served as Lord Chancellor of England under King Henry VIII. More is best known for his opposition to the King's separation from the Catholic Church and his refusal to acknowledge Henry as the Supreme Head of the Church of England. For his steadfast faith and principles, he was executed and later canonized. He is remembered for his moral integrity and commitment to his beliefs.
