St. Philip

Saint Philip was one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus Christ, mentioned several times in the New Testament. He is often identified as the disciple who questioned Jesus about feeding the five thousand and who requested to see the Father at the Last Supper. After the Ascension of Jesus, Philip preached the Gospel in various places, including Greece and Syria. According to tradition, he was martyred in Hierapolis by crucifixion or by being hung upside down. Saint Philip is revered as a patron saint of hatters, pastry chefs, and Uruguay.
